Based on Suzanne Collins’ 2020 novel of the same name, the movie serves as a prequel to The Hunger Games, making it the fifth installment in the franchise. The plot revolves around an 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow, who fights for his once-proud family’s honor as they suffer after a post-war Capitol. As the 10th annual Hunger Games approaches, he mentors Lucy Gray Baird, the tribute from District 12. Together, they must beat the clock to survive the Hunger Games while also uncovering who is a Songbird and who is a Snake.
