LeBron James kept his fans in a suspenseful state last year when he sported a Jason Voorhees costume from the horror flick Friday the 13th. But it appears that his Halloween talents are not limited to basketball, as he is a natural at designing costumes too. In fact, this year, James has gone above and beyond with his “LeDward Scissorhands” getup that takes inspiration from Tim Burton’s timeless character from the 1990 film. Needless to say, this costume is bound to make a lasting impression and leave onlookers impressed.
On Instagram, James shared his impressive Halloween costume on Thursday. He wore a leather bodysuit with multiple belts, a frizzy black wig that resembled Edward Scissorhands, and the iconic Scissorhands gloves. James captioned his spooky post with “LeDward Scissorhands Happy Halloween beautiful people.” In one photo, he posed sternly while showcasing the full-body ensemble, channeling Johnny Depp’s portrayal of the character. Another close-up photo showed the intricate details of his costume as he interlocked his Scissorhands. The post received about 100,000 likes within hours, and many commented on their love for his outfit and the festive season.
The philanthropic organization founded by LeBron James, known as the LeBron James Family Foundation, recently issued a statement that reads “Just a Kid from Akron with Scissorhands.” It is worth noting that this foundation bears the name of James. When questioned about it, Phil Handy, an assistant coach for the Lakers, did not offer a significant response. Jamie Foxx also added his input, praising the actor with a sequence of manual signals.
